About Us

How I started

Welcome to Cloudberry! My name is Nazilya and I’m the aspiring business owner, the baker, and the artist behind Cloudberry. I’m a dentist by trade (yawn), but my passion and creativity have always been channeled through baking. I also like to travel and learn about traditions of countries I visit. What I noticed, almost in every country baking gingerbread cookies is the tradition going back centuries that fills the atmosphere of holidays. So, I got an idea to introduce this biscuit to the local people in Calgary. I started baking for family events, school parties and selling on the market. The feedback from my customers was so encouraging and inspiring that I decided to reach even more people with my products.

This old way of making gingerbread cookies is almost forgotten but there are still some people who pass it down to next generations as a traditional art. I would like to try it as well adding the unique design for their look . It’s an art that will capture the heart of people… Let’s keep old traditions alive!

Cloudberry is a small team of passionate people who love their home, especially the kitchen, who want to spread a love of cooking, selling various decorated cookies for people who love their home as much as we love. We sell things that are innovative and unique.

Our business exists as a vehicle for our values: work hard, find fulfillment, and experience joy.

The breadth of offerings at Cloudberry is not possible without the help of my beloved husband Marat and our best friends Lue and Alex.
